From AYP Healthcare
We are the pharmacy that dispenses your residents' medicines, makes up your trays and prints your seals. We are building the electronic medication record to go with them — so what we send and what your staff sign for are the same thing, not two systems kept in step by hand.
Most eMAR systems are bought from a software company and then connected to whichever pharmacy supplies the home. The medicine list gets typed in twice. A change at the surgery reaches one side before the other. The tray in the trolley and the chart on the screen drift apart, and somebody has to notice before it matters.
We already hold all of it. Putting the record on the same system removes the gap rather than managing it.
Who is due what, and when. Given or not given, with the reason. No dose can be recorded twice, and an early one has to be explained.
One blister, popped once, recorded once — and if the resident refuses one of the seven, that tablet gets its own line with its own reason.
The seal carries a barcode. Scan it and the tablet answers in plain words: wrong resident, wrong tray, wrong cycle.
Whichever way your home works. Both are supported, and the screens follow how the medicines actually arrive.
A register with a running balance, two people at every dose, and witnessed counts. Doses come off the balance as they are recorded.
The round carries on. Doses are saved on the tablet and sent when the signal returns, with the time they were actually given.
Not a compliance score. The things that need somebody to do something today: doses not recorded after the round closed, changes waiting for a second check, controlled drugs not counted this week, training running out. There is a board that can be left up on a screen while a round is happening, and — looking back — how long each round actually takes and whether it starts when it should.
AYP Connect is being built now and is not yet in general use. A first care home is trialling it alongside their paper MAR charts, which stay the official record throughout. Clinical safety and data protection assurance are in progress, and no home records a real resident's medicines on it until that work is finished and signed off.
We would rather tell you that here than have you find it out later. The full picture is on the eMAR page.
No licence fee, no per-resident charge, no charge for tablets or training. AYP Healthcare pays for it because we are your dispensing pharmacy — the system exists to make our own supply work properly. How that works, in full.
